Role

We are looking for Head of Manufacturing to be in charge of manufacturing, testing, and shipment of various biomass pyrolysis equipment, including carbonizers, material handling systems, furnaces, and condensers/heat exchangers.

We are looking for an engineering professional with substantial experience setting up, managing and scaling up agricultural or industrial equipment manufacturing operations/facilities (with min. 10-people team management).

Responsibilities

  • Set up a manufacturing facility, procure machines and fabrication equipment and recruit fabrication team

  • Launch and manage the manufacturing process, and ensure a safe environment for production

  • Manage materials procurement required for manufacturing

  • Establish goals for production, and coordinate plans to meet these goals under required timelines and as per design specifications and clients’ requirements

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance

  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements

  • Evaluate the final product’s overall performance, reliability, and safety

  • Prepare the budget and costing for equipment manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing / production engineering or similar field

  • 10+ years of experience as a manufacturing manager with experience setting up, managing and scaling up agricultural or industrial equipment manufacturing operations / facilities

  • Team management experience (min. 10-people team)

  • Competent in problem-solving, team building and management, planning, and decision-making

  • Interest in climate tech and a sense of urgency to mitigate climate change
