WasteX Selected for Salesforce-Backed Carbon Removal Purchase via Milkywire

JANUARY 2026 - WasteX has been selected as one of 19 suppliers in a Salesforce-backed purchase via Milkywire, contributing to a global portfolio of more than 12,500 tonnes of durable carbon removal.

The pre-purchase initiative, facilitated by Milkywire, is designed to provide early-stage capital to high-integrity carbon removal projects with long-term mitigation potential.

WasteX contributed 1,167 tonnes of durable carbon removal to the portfolio, reflecting confidence in the company’s ability to deliver verifiable climate impact through biochar-based solutions.

Biochar Operations Across Java

WasteX currently operates four active biochar facilities across Java, located in Pasuruan, Batang, Grobogan, and Bojonegoro.

The facilities convert agricultural and forestry residues into biochar, supporting climate mitigation while creating value from underutilized biomass. Key feedstocks include corn cobs, rice husk, and wood waste, sourced from surrounding agricultural and industrial activities.

2025 Climate and Community Impact

In 2025, WasteX successfully processed 727 tonnes of agricultural waste and produced 264 tonnes of biochar across its operational facilities.

We also assisted 596 local farmers on proper application of biochar, and help reduce their fertilizer use.

These farmers recorded an average 41% increase in crop yields, and the improvements persisted in later growing seasons, with reported increases of 56% and 27%, indicating long-term soil health benefits.

These activities resulted in an estimated 1,056 tCO₂e of mitigation impact, driven by durable carbon storage and avoided emissions.
